The four member quartet has brought their musical skills and talents together after spending four years with Cassandra Morgan as their teacher. Now teachers and professionals themselves they are enjoying their music together to be able to share at your special day.
A complimentary music planning is included for you to preview many wedding and funeral songs to choose from. Special requests will be honored as long as enough time is presented to search and prepare the musical selection. Solo, duet, and quartet music is available. Previewing the music options with the list on line will save you valuable time in planning your ceremony and searching for music. Your guests will be treated to an amazing performance and we will work hard to ensure that your wedding/funeral ceremony is everything you dreamed it would be.
Wedding Ceremony Music:
Prelude music can be organ or vocal selections while guests are being seated. A Vocal prelude selection is used for seating the family and lighting the candles. The #1 Processional Music is for the bridal party entrance. #2 Processional is the Bride’s Entrance. There can be several vocal selections during the service, one early in the ceremony , and a unity candle selction. (Additional selections can be added depending on your ceremony and church) The recessional is usually festive music for the wedding couple and bridal party to exit. Postlude music can be performed while guests leave the church.
Church Music Rules:
Brides planning a Catholic Wedding Ceremony (and some other denominations-Episcopalian, Jewish, Lutheran) need to consult with the musical director of their location before selecting “outside” musicians. The location may require that you use their in house musicians for liturgical music in the ceremony and some approved music selections. Usually, as long as the music is approved by the church there will be no problem
Two of our quartet members are Cantors at a New Bedford parish. For all Catholic services they would be able to apply their services for funeral and wedding masses. Any of the sacred or secular selections from the repertoire listings can be incorporated into any church service along with the guidance on hymn tunes. For Funeral Homes we would provide a keyboard and any of the following selections can be sung for your service.
Since the Occasion Singers are an a cappella and accompanied quartet they can easily be accommodating in any scenario inside or outside. Holiday parties, office parties, home gatherings, or Christmas caroling are their pleasures. They can also offer sing-alongs with guests, if that service is requested, which they would provide the song sheets for guests. Also included in the many services are “Vocal Valentines” for Valentines Day that would include a card, gift and box of chocolates and “Singing Christmas Carols” for a special gift in the Christmas season that would include a card and gift.
